PRIMARY SCHOOL WORK:

Inspiring young people

Working mainly with P7 pupils, we bring in a Director and Choreographer to teach a musical in 10 weeks with a School – giving children the experience of not only being onstage and giving them increased confidence but also giving them different social skills. These projects are based around the needs of the Curriculum for Excellence and meet many of the requirements of this. We have also developed this to work with children in an urban deprivation area and hope to develop more work around Scotland.

We have worked on “Jungle Book Jnr”, “Honk Jnr” and “Aladdin Jnr” all with great success.

SECONDARY SCHOOL PROJECTS

Our aim is to address contemporary issues through Theatre and we are currently developing a number of plays:

• A new play dealing with the issue of Suicide prevention for Secondary School pupils, and working with the relevant agencies around Scotland.  This play will be launched at the National Suicide Prevention Week in September and then tour Schools.
• Developing other issues [Self Harm and Image] into plays to tour round schools.
• Each play will have a Drama Workshop programme and Teacher’s Packs attached.

* We also have an historical play about the life of Mary, Queen of Scots which [funding permitting] could tour Scottish Schools.
